Movies: Poor Things, Barbie and Oppenheimer are stuck in La La Land

Conclave.

I liked it. It kicked in some Catholic childhood PTSD, which was good for the atmosphere, and it allowed Fiennes and Tucci to chew scenery. I was disappointed with Lithgow, he usually brings more to a role. As for the plot, meh, OK, sure. Like The Shoes of the Fisherman (1968) it cheapened the gravitas of the event by making the gimmickry so topical and narrow. This is a 1600-year old institution. Everything is a fad. It's like making a movie about China where they completely change their culture because of iPhones.

Watched Fuzz last night.
1972 Reynolds skiritt & Raquel welsh flick filmed in Boston.

If nobody is following along, mookie is chasing older movies made in cities (nyc, La, Europe, Boston) 🫣🤔
Add Running Scared (1986, Gregory Hines, Billy Crystal, Chicago) to your queue.
