Movies: Poor Things, Barbie and Oppenheimer are stuck in La La Land

Sorry, I don't like to have the thought of Nancy Reagan deep throating in my head in any capacity.

Let her change your mind

Doesn't really do a whole lot for me, but if she wanted to demonstrate her skill set, I guess I'd be open to it.

Well I was wrong...looks like Beetlejuice is going to make a lot of money at least this weekend. Looks like Zazlov lives ;)

Watching The People Under the Stairs.

It's a trashy early 90s horror film that's had me laughing my *** off.

In the spirit of great shlock horror titles, please don't neglect Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things (1972). Solid "so bad it's good" cred.

Challengers is on Prime and I like tennis amd zendaya, so why not

not terrible by any means but I felt like the casting of one of the men was…off.

no likable characters really. Zendaya is gorgeous but the two guys were…meh. Women can’t even get eye candy

I finally saw Midsomer. Very disturbing. The lead actress was excellent; her story is complicated and, OMG, original. Beautiful film making.

I will really miss A24 when they sell out and turn to sh-t.

They already sold out, at least partially

midsommar is excellent and Florence Pugh is a delight

Also- reminds me that a few years ago, my Swedish cousin dressed his little girls up as the may queen and a brown bear for Halloween

I howled

Peder sideman’s review of joker is certainly interesting

“I have seen Joker: Folie ? Deux, and it is so maddeningly listless, so brutally dull, so determined to avoid giving viewers even the smallest bit of cinematic pleasure - it makes me kind of crazy. I am going to become the Joker.”

I just found out a week or so ago that Chris Pine is the son of Robert Pine, the guy who played the boss on CHiPS. Never would have made the connection.

But I'm watching an old movie of his, Just My Luck, with Lindsey Lohan before she went psycho and destroyed her face, and I can see it. He's kind of schlubby, with glasses, and a knit cap covering his head and it's in the lower half of his face, the mouth and jawline. Dead ringer.

Saw Joker: Folie A Deux tonight. I
must have watched a different movie than the critics. I gave the original a 9 or 10 out of 10.

i would say this one is 8 out of 10. I think so many people missed the point of the first movie they have no context other than “The Killing Joke” or “Dark Knight” to base their opinions on for this one.

if you want the lunatic from Alan Moore or even Frank Miller’s worlds you need to watch Nolan’s version.

this is something entirely different and just as valid. Anyway, that’s my .02

The Substance was kind of nuts. But creative and Demi Moore killed it

she plays a famous woman unable to handle aging so she tries a strange serum to make herself younger and it gets really weird

I recently activated ctv through www.ctv.ca activate and now I’m looking for some good movies to watch. Any recommendations? I’m open to different genres, so whether it’s a classic, an action-packed thriller, or something light and fun, I’m all ears! Would love to hear what you’ve enjoyed watching lately!
