I'll check them out as well as Nuremberg mentioned by Handy.

Thanks

I'm watching the George Stevens film. Raw images from the camps. If you are upset over the sight of dead/burned bodies, skip it.

On the other hand, it should be shown to every HS senior class in the country.

Fake news.

That's how I felt about the movie "Kids." Every high schooler should see it, but I would not recommend it to anyone. Very disturbing, especially one of those last scenes....

I remember next to nothing of that movie other than everything those kids did was wrong, even when they thought everything was perfect. And there was an STD involved.

The scene I'm talking about (text only, but whited out): it was a kid raping another while she was passed out.

Re: Movies: New Ideas Welcome II Prequel Reboot

Yeah, now that you mention it, I do recall that portion. It wasn't an uplifting movie, to be sure.

That ranks up there with the final scene of the director's cut of Requiem For A Dream, another movie I never want to see again, although it was a fantastic movie.

How do you guys remember this stuff? Was I too young?

I have a knack for remembering completely trivial things. Your first name? Five meetings, probably. Minimum. A certain obscure line in some indie movie I saw 5 years ago? Nail it.

My brain is also like that. Algebra? Naw man, forget that. Song lyrics? Got em right here!

And for some odd reason, I'm in the mood to see Requiem again. I'll probably regret that.

Same. Shakespeare quotes? Algebra and geometry? Heck no. Random lines from tv and movies? Intricate Magic the Gathering combos? Absolutely.

Random lines from tv and movies?

This may just mean you're male. Every male friend I have can recite copious amounts of movie dialog from memory. It's not that my female friends can't... they just don't.

OTOH, every girlfriend I had could replay every conversation we had ever had from memory, while I had trouble recalling what either of us said five minutes before.

I have my moments- I used to be able to recite the scene where Kay tells Michael she had an abortion. In fact I used to text it to handyman :)

And other than Handyman, nobody else here knows what the hell you're talking about. :)

And that's why they're trouble.

Pretty sure I started texting that to you first...now any time the movie is on one of us does :D I am also pretty sure Angie said "yeah she kinda had that coming" when Michael smacked her right after she said "BECAUSE THIS MUST ALL END!" ;)
