Parasite. Strange Korean drama. The acting is good and the storyline is bizarre and interesting. I'm sure we lose a lot in the cultural translation and yet solid A.

I've heard Parasite is excellent. It's on my watch list.

Jesus, ya gotta warn Kepler about that. He might not be able to control his Taylor Swift emotions. :o :D

She's a rat face, not a cat. If she was a cat she'd be my wife.

Noelle (Disney+):
Santa's daughter finds herself having to take over the family business when her father retires and her brother, who is supposed to inherit the role of Santa, gets cold feet.

I had major hesitations about this, but my brother said it was worth seeing, everyone in his household (9 people) enjoyed it. So, I told him I'd give it a shot. It's pure Christmas schmaltz, and I enjoyed every minute of it. It really was all about the true Christmas spirit, along with the trademark Anna Kendrick dorkiness that she brings to most of her roles. And might I say, Julie Hagerty (Airplane! and What About Bob?) has aged rather well. Shirley Maclaine and Bill Hader also succeeded in their roles (not a huge fan of Hader, so that part surprised me).

UNCUT GEMS was excellent.

The Safdie Brothers did an excellent job at building tension/suspense from the start. Sandler can actually act too  He pulls off the character wonderfully. You see his life spinning out of control, but you can see that Howard always knows his next move and how that's gonna rectify the situation. He carries this movie. Also props to Kevin Garnett. His role is small, but it's solidly done (given he's playing himself it makes sense).

Got my must haves in for Christmas, those being Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story.

Also fit in Home Alone and Elf.

For whatever reason White Christmas was on somewhere 24/7 for all of December so I think I ended up seeing the whole thing through like five separate viewings.

While not a movie, also fit in Night of the Meek from the Twilight Zone. One of the few sentimental TZ episodes.

Got those first two movies in, and also the Netflix A Very Murray Christmas (which I consider a new classic). It's a musical "TV" special, and I love it.

Firebombing, yes that’s what Jesus would have done!
Lol, I hope way more people watch this now.

From NYT:

“ A Brazilian film company was firebombed on Christmas Eve, after being criticized for producing a Netflix movie depicting Jesus Christ as a gay man. A video taking credit made clear the act was to silence artists whose works take aim at conservatives.”

A guy on the Narcos production crew was killed, due to the depiction of the cartels. They don't mess around in Central/South America.

I assume Bolsanaro will welcome the murderer the way Dump welcomes war criminals.
