I think Jurassic World looks laughably terrible...I will wait until my buddy sees it and go off what he says.

It's a classic multi-level marketing scheme. L. Ron just took it to the obvious conclusion and got it declared a religion by the IRS. Until that decision is reversed it will continue to ruin lives.

It actually took his successor, David Miscavige to press the IRS to get that status in the 90s after L. Ron's death but that was his goal all along.

Have you seen "Going Clear"? It's excellent but very, very creepy. Hopefully Scientology will decline to a boutique scam preying on celebrities, executives, and other dumb people who think they're smart because they're rich. Fleecing them has no serious moral overtones. I only get angry when real humans are swept up in it.

I'm expecting it to end up a lot like Battleship, not a good movie but you still find yourself watching and enjoying it. I'm not going to see it in the theaters unless it gets absolutely stellar reviews, but if I might watch it eventually regardless of the reviews.

Yeah, but Battleship was made to be silly, like a SyFy Sharknado movie. Jurassic World is taking itself seriously, so it's going to be a steaming pile.

I really like that the "B movie" is making a comeback. God bless direct to video, I guess.

Yeah that is kind of where I am at. Get drunk with some buddies and Netflix it or something :)

The "Going Clear" doc was awesome...but yeah totally creepy.

But, I'm going to put this a way a friend put it, if a movie where a guy rides on a mobile stage in front of a wall of speakers playing a double-necked guitar that shoots flames doesn't sound awesome to you, then this isn't for you.

For the entire movie. He gets like maybe 5 minutes of break.

There was a second and third Jurassic Park? You're joking. Kinda like the oft rumored, but non-existent, Slap Shot 2, Slap Shot 3, Batman & Robin...


I only bought the original on Blu-Ray. Refused to pick up the other two. Hope this one is more like the original and not the terrible sequels.

I won't watch Jurassic III even if there's nothing else on, but Lost World was actually serviceable.
