Motorsports 2026

A few days ago, WEC "postponed" their season opener at the end of the month at Qatar. They are hoping to reschedule it at the end of the year when they also run at Bahrain.

MotoGP has said they are highly unlikely to run the Qatar GP on April 12.

That is the same date as the F1 race at Bahrain. (Both series are not owned by Liberty Media.) Reports are saying F1 could run a doubleheader at Suzuka to replace Bahrain and then find a place in Europe to replace Saudi Arabia.

Took me through almost FP2 that AppleTV has both the F1TV and SkySports feeds.
To see what it was like, I watched FP1 on AppleTV, even though I have F1 TV. I noticed they did put commercials in the pre and post talk show portion and immediately, and I mean immediately, after the action stopped on track. I knew they were going to have both commentaries even before I looked through all the choices, which admittedly is quite a lot (any in-car view, multi screen, data, etc.), though some of those are available on F1 TV.

This morning, I watched FP2 on F1 TV. Obviously, same thing, but no commercials anywhere.

A bit strange considering Apple is giving you free access to F1 TV, and then throwing commercials in their broadcast, driving you to F1 TV. Other than the (admittedly great choices) additional viewing options on Apple TV, I don't know why someone would not watch this on F1 TV's apps. Not to mention, I believe I read only F1 TV (not Apple) will be showing all the F2, F3, and F1 Academy races.

I was a former subscriber to F1 TV. A few weeks ago, I got an email from Apple letting me know how to link my F1 TV subscription to my Apple account and then to cancel my F1 TV subscription so I don't get charged for the new year. I did that, and (so far) it's working where I can watch through F1 TV.

So is success in F1 this year going to come down to how well you can manage/program your battery? I subscribed to Apple recently and am going to try to watch more this year.

If it were just that, Mercedes,McLaren, Alpine, and Williams would be a lot closer together- since charge and deployment is pretty public info.

The drivers may hate the cars, but that was an incredible first ten laps. Mercedes are so far ahead though, I guess we’ll see if having Oscar and Max in contention changes things for the next couple races, but I don’t know how teams will make up that pace.

I read something about FIA changing the temp compression ratios are measured in June, is that true? If so, would it be enough to close the gap? I hesitate to think so, seeming Red Bull Ford units claim to have taken advantage of that loophole as well.

I know Cadillac has quite the climb as a brand new team, but it was good to see Perez complete the race, despite being two laps down. Gives the org a full race shakedown. You can tell from their post race videos they're dissapointed but they know it's a work and a team effort. Seeing the Ferrari duo do well means it's an issue with the car itself and not the power train.

My old impressions of F1 was it was boring follow the leader racing. I was surprised by how the new cars and rules made for so much passing and mid pack shuffling. Also, for absolutely trashing the new car, watching Verstappen just power through the entire field is amazing.

It is true. Apparently to be measured at 130 degrees. To answer your last question, it all depends if the loophole really kicks it above that temperature.
