MN @ UND - Oct 17 2009-date right!

Re: MN @ UND - Oct 17 2009-date right!

My best madden analysis...

Whoever wins the third, wins the game...because it's tied right now, and if one team scores more goals than the other at the end of the game they win. Now if they both score the same amount of goals, then they tie, but they don't win. That's not a win because they didn't score more goals. North Dakota, they were winning, but then Minnesota scored a goal to tie it at two. Before that goal, the Sioux were winning, but the Gophers tied it. So if the Gophers score more than the Sioux, they'll win. But if the Sioux score more than the Gophers, they'll win. Otherwise it's tied, so whoever wins the third. Now, if Brett Favre played hockey, i'm pretty sure that he would be on the team that would score more goals in the third period. He's a leader, and...he'd lead the team to a win. He'd win the third period, and if you win the third, you win the game.

That was, of course, the abridged version.

:D

Cliche count:

We're gonna go out there and leave it all on the ice. Our backs are against the wall, and people have given us no chance to beat UND tonight, so we'll have to shock the world. Just go out there and do what we have to do to win the game: give 110%, win the turnover game, and avoid penalties. We have to be aggressive, but not take dumb penalties. Play mistake-free hockey. UND is a good team, and we respect them, but the pressure is on them, not us, since we're the underdogs.

I think I counted 14 in that mess of a post, Brent. :p

MN definitely has not avoided penalties.

Re: MN @ UND - Oct 17 2009-date right!

MN is trying to step on UND's throat, but UND sees the blade on the toe of the boot (c) Roadhouse

And Fairchild fails to put it in the open net.

The difference in this game: UND scored on their weak call powerplay while MN didn't score on theirs. :p

Note to Gopher forwards: the net is not 6 feet high. Please keep your shots lower.

And Miller shoots high. I see the shooting hasn't changed either. HIT THE NET.

And Lammy gets called for a crosscheck where it looked like he was trying to anally violate a gopher player near the boards. :p
