LOL insecurities. Sounds like your obsession of trolling every Gopher thread here since atleast 2001. I enjoy my red considering I know its from Sue fans, its a badge of honor.

Look, UND has a proven choker for a coach, so they will choke it away somehow. Mn is going to sweep the beavers, and then the first round of the WCHA, and then have some fun.

Minnesota is playing really well right now, the Beavers will have their hands full with Goldy this weekend. It would be ironic if Minnesota and SCSU end up meeting in the first round of the WCHA playoffs; they are both playing their best hockey of the season right now and both have aspirations to extend their seasons.

I look forward to this weekend series!! Should be a great one. I hope the Gophers can find Bemidji Ok because I can't remember the last time the team came to Bemidji, It's a good thing other teams were good enough to schedule us into there schedule pretty much every year! (UND) (UMD) (MSU) (SCSU) I'm looking for a beaver sweep this weekend I know it won't be easy but the games will be fun!

I'll have to make it up to BSU to see the new arena sometime. If a blizzard doesn't kill me, like the last time I made it up there. :mad: Fri: whiteout. Sat: sunny. Sun: whiteout. :mad:

Just makes you a better driver, all Cities drivers should spend a winter up north, they'd have nothing to complain about down here.

I didn't drive. Having gone to tUMD for two years, and having a close friend live 1/2 hour north of Two Harbors, I know my winter driving. ;)

That being said, it was legitimately brutal driving. I think the GPL term is "Wall Of F*."

You did your time in northern Minnesota, learn how to drink and you also learn how to drive in the winter....That's what I learned from Bemidji and Moorhead....

Well, my genes did the drinking part of the equation. Erin go bragh(less)! ;)

But yeah, travelling Hwy 2 into the Superior National Forest area, doing 60 on a semi-plowed road in December will get you winter-ready for driving any day of the week. :D

And people in the Twin Cities can't drive if there's a single flake on the road and start screaming for MnDOT to plow...

Nice to hear from a Bemidji Beaver fan, finally! The sioux fans buzzing around on here are annoying like flies. They land and vomit on something and eat it up.

Where are the main hangouts for beaver fans before the games? Anything within walking distance of the Sanford Center?

I was up there for the SCSU series, The Corner Bar had $5 pitchers of Grain Belt Nordeast before the games. I don't know how late that goes though. It gets very busy, and they have decent burgers. Across from the Corner is the Garden, never ate there though, similar beer special before the game. Both are close, but may be a little bit of a cold walk. I remember they had a shuttle though.

Keg n Kork downtown has a great magic pixy drink called Combat, try a pitcher after the game.

Bar 209 has the best burgers, they make a Juicy Lucy. A little north of town there's Slim's which has good chili and burgers.

You can't go wrong with any bar burger in the city really.

How expensive were the hotels this weekend?

We booked all of our rooms as soon as the schedule came out and we got in at the same rate we have paid all year, $99 a night. I would venture to guess that as the rooms started to go, the prices went up.

An hour and a half of work left, then pick up the kids from daycare, meet the wife at home and load everyone up and head north! GO BEAVERS!
