MLB 2024: robot umps, please

Delay in the NLDS because a Doger fan threw a baseball at Profar in left field. As they've been waiting to find the fan to eject, people started throwing trash in right field.

I’d be pretty ticked if I’m Darvish. He had to do a lot of standing around. At least they let him throw a few more a couple times to stay warm.

Dodger Stadium is the site of the last MLB forfeit. LA was forced to after fans threw souvenir giveaway baseballs onto the field to protest calls in the last two innings.

Tigers-Guardians moved to 1 tomorrow due to weather. Was tentatively at 4, then officially at 8 after the Yankees clinched. Big conspiracy that it’s because OSU football is playing prime time, but there’s also a 60% chance of heavy rain at 8pm that is supposed to last until morning.

Eh, being a seller and having 1.5 starters for the last month made the entire thing a minor miracle.

Yeah, obviously a little sad the season is over but that was the most fun three months of baseball I’ve ever watched. From a five man rotation, to injuries and trades eventually making it a one man rotation, to selling at the deadline but somehow improving (Baez injury helped), to all the comebacks, that was a ride. It’s great to be a front runner like they were in the early 2010s, but there’s nothing like an underdog run with no expectations.

The key for 2025 is for Baez to reinjure his whatever. He's the baseball version of Deshaun Watson without the sexual predator status.
