So if competing teams are dependent on out of town results neither gets an advantage.
I get it but I don't get it. You can get out of town results in real time. What advantage would a team get?

For instance, if your early game loss clinches my playoff spot, I bench all my best players to get ready for the post season.
In a twist, the Mets bring McNeil into the game with him leading for the batting title.
Was everyone crying when he wasn’t in?
The White Sox were exactly .500 28 times throughout the season.
Small rant about the TV coverage- why are they using a 2D plane for what a strike is or not? The strike zone is a 3D box that covers the entire plate, not just the front edge. I barely watch baseball, and know that (and confirmed it via MLB rules). Come on analysts, you can do better.
There are a lot of bigger problems with broadcast games than a strike box. Though it too could go away.
- too many things on screen during play (score box, stats, etc)
- analysts talking during the game.
- ads during play.
Should be a max of 1 person booth. I'd prefer no booth at all. Score should only be shown on change or at start/end of an inning.
The Mets have a 3-man booth and it's perfect because they all know how to shut up.
The problem here is ESPN, full stop. They're terrible at baseball. They are baseball for people who hate baseball.
Have you watched Apples coverage? Abomination.
