MLB 2020: We'll Play Ball, I Guess.

Cards Pirates series postponed. Cards out until at least Thursday. In the MLB protocols for playing the season did they leave room to just cancel an individual team's season? If not, they should have. It is getting ridiculous that they are being allowed to affect so many team's schedules. That and with all the double headers they will be playing half their games will end up as 7-inning affairs. Just play the season without them.

In light of Covid I think MLB should do what little league or high school baseball does. Ten run rule. Call it a day.

I have no idea if you’re joking, but this season is an absolute joke anyways so let’s just go off the deep end. Ten run rule. Can’t field a team, you forfeit. Rain = tie. 9 innings = tie.

It was mostly intended as a joke. However, as pointed out since we seem to be just making up the rules for MLB as we go along, why not.

Cardinals postpone their DH against the Tigers on Thursday. So, while a regular schedule would’ve put them around 18 games, they’ll have five.

Going by games back, they’re still in second place at 2-3 and technically in the playoffs. But I believe MLB has said they’re going by winning percentage this year.

If they can win one more they can just shut it down and wait for the playoffs.

Just as the Cardinals are finally getting back to play after a couple weeks, now the Reds have a positive test and the rest of their series against Pittsburgh is canceled.

They were just afraid to play the Yankees...

What, you think a team whose #2 has an ERA of 9.00 -- in 23 IP -- against opposition like the Marlins, anticipates trouble with an actual MLB lineup?

Fun fact: we had a moment a few games ago in which 3 of our 5 prior starters had a WHIP > 2.00. Matz' was 5.00.

So, regarding the thing with the Reds announcer, is Kansas City even known for that? I don't exactly see Kansas City as the most liberal live-free city out there, but then I have never been there, and maybe given the rural area around it it becomes a beacon for those looking to escape small towns.
