It doesn't come up much, but i'm surprised players like/interact with Kevin Millar. He was a replacement player during the 94/95 strike.

Maybe everyone now is too young to know or care. I was just reminded as i was surfing the internet about baseball things.

Rick Reed was a scab but later became a popular teammate.

I think everybody realizes the union only operates for the top 5% stars. Everybody else, especially minor leaguers, gets f-cked.

Who I want to win: Washington, Milwaukee, or Minnesota

It'll probably be Houston, LA, or the Yankees, though.

Putting this here instead of the Gear Grinding thread:

Seen several posts regarding the nostalgia of Globe Life Park and memorializing it's history as we say goodbye... It's been around for 25 years :mad: Ironically there really hasn't been much history in the park outside of Ranger's team milestones. Really bland in the grand scheme of things if you ask me.

Congrats Dallas-Fort Worth, you've been played by the Stadium Scam!

Dang, I didn't even know they were leaving. I always wanted to visit that park for some reason.

Im fine with 2 teams with nothing to play for going after milestones. The Rangers didnt do anything to harm the Red sox. If anything, they gave the Red Sox more chances to win the game.

The most absurd part was Red Sox swinging at the first pitch to try and deny the milestone. Instead of as Cora says "playing the right way" and trying to win the game.
