Quicksand. He's probably trying even harder, which many times leads to more mistakes. Just get back to the basics, the hits will come.

This 18games/18days stretch is kicking our butts and our bullpen's taxed since our pitching depth is nonexistent with everyone hurt. Could'veg been even worse if Wendelken didn't go 3 1/3 the other day in Houston.

That game tonight was an utter embarrassment.

I don't know if Chris Davis is well liked around the league or not but if he is and its a blowout game just throw some 80 mph pitches down the middle of the plate so the poor bahstid can get a hit. Tell the media afterwards that you misplaced a change up or something.

I glanced over this and initially thought you were going to say if anybody cared about Davis they'd throw one right at his head, give him an excuse to retire, and stick the Orioles' insurer with the bill.

I looked up his stats wanting to defend him a smidge, but Jesus he appears to be an HR or K kinda guy just guessing at the plate. He's an over-paid, younger, Mark Reynolds.

How in the world did the Orioles think he was a good idea to lock up long term?

2013. They guessed it was the mean, but it turned out to be the upper bound by a couple sigma.

They f-cked up.

Always knew we'd be fine when we got rid of dead weight that was holding our franchise down like Ichiro and Felix. ;)

For whatever reason, he's stopped swinging at pitches in the zone. It's like something is getting progressively worse with his eyes.
