A's make a trade on Opening Day eve, sending some scrub minor leaguer to Toronto for Kendrys Morales. Jays picking up the bulk of his salary.

With Olson out for a bit they seem to be trying to recreate his offense at 1b through a platoon of Morales (who does well against righties) and Canha (who does well against lefties). That said, neither will even come close to replacing Olson's terrific glove.

Me too! (well, except MLB.TV)

It seems like there are fewer games on this year - and no late game.

I am still ****ed I had to work on Opening Day last year. I asked for this day off as soon as they announced it was on a **** Thursday again. Please move it back to Monday.

I dont think that will ever happen unless they shorten spring training and move the schedule up a little more. Part of the reason they started a weekend sooner was to stop the slow creep into October the regular season was doing causing the playoffs to go into November.

I really feel they're going to push for 156 games again, but it's going to coincide with two more expansion franchises. (Welcome Les Expos, Charlotte)

I'm working today, but the XM and At Bat app will be getting a workout. As a fan of out-of-market teams, MLB.tv (and the free At Bat access) has been amazing.
