Oh God. MLB Metwork is speculating what might happen with a shortened season.

Top of the list? Universal DH because "we don't want to have rushed back pitchers have to also re-learn to hit."

I’m all for the DH, and constantly berate you luddites who cling onto a lost cause.

Having said that, that is the most ridiculous dumb*ss excuse MLB could possibly come up with.

Might as well get it done now. 2020 is going to make for a ****ed up season.

There isn't going to be a 2020 season if I had to guess. Maybe a 3-game series giant bracket randomly seeded. 5-game quarters. 7-game semis and finals. :D

132 game season
no interleague play
every team outside your division 6x (60)
18x in your division (72)

If you can't get in 132, start decreasing the divisional games incrementally down to 6x for an 84 game season.

If you get to an 84 game schedule, top 4 (5?) make the playoffs regardless of divisions.

132 is a pipe dream. 70-90 games is fa more realistic.

The greed of the owners is incalculable, but hopefully we're not even thinking about crowds that size until well into 2021.
