Not to veer off topic but yeah, NHLGCL was awful. I always loved trying to click on a highlight and it was synched incorrectly so you'd have to scroll around to find it.

That said MLB on the PS3 was awful too (haven't tried it on PS4). It had this weird glitch and instead of fixing it the developers just told you to do this workaround where you turn off all the features in the options etc. to get it to work. That was a nice problem to have during crunch time in September

Re: MLB 2015 - Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

Jays reliever Aaron Sanchez and manager John Gibbons suspended as a result of Sunday's Jays - <strike>Royals</strike> Punks slapfest, yet <strike>Royals</strike> Punks reliever Ryan Madson gets off with nothing.

Warnings were issued by home plate umpire Jim Wolf in the first inning after Royals starter Edinson Volquez hit third baseman Josh Donaldson, who twice reacted angrily to pitches up and in later in the contest.

Blue Jays shortstop Troy Tulowitzki was hit on the wrist in the seventh inning by reliever Ryan Madson, who wasn’t ejected despite the warnings, and after the reliever buzzed Donaldson, Gibbons came out to argue and was ejected.

Sanchez hit Escobar in the knee area with a 2-0 pitch in the eighth, leading the benches to clear, but nothing beyond barking ensued. During the fracas, Gibbons returned from the clubhouse to try and calm things down.

Replay - on a trap / caught play I betcha the umpire calls out 99% of the time. If he calls safe and there are runners on base, if the call is overturned, where do you put the runners, especially if the outfielder gets up and throws to an occupied base?

Tigers fire GM Dave Dombrowski.

I heard on SiriusXM today that Ken Harrelson is the only person to fire both Tony LaRussa and Dave Dombrowski (both in the same season - 1986).

That explains how he got canned as White Sox GM after just one season.

Strange and unfair game, baseball. Tuesday night a Red Sox rookie makes his first major league start. Strong performance is undone by the gasoline-on-a-fire bullpen and he loses the game. Wednesday night a Yankees rookie makes his first major league start. Great performance is undone by an unearned run, a mistake to David Ortiz that traveled about 430 feet, and the fact that his 10 run a game offense couldn't hit a 30 year old knuckleballer, so he loses the game.

Re: MLB 2015 - Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

And tonight another Red Sox rookie pitches well, saves a beleaguered bullpen, but makes 1 mistake and loses 2-1.

They'll be rested for the Tigers series - they'll be needed.

Joey *** Bats!

Homer in the 10th and Jays beat the Yanks in the series opener!

Re: MLB 2015 - Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

Going to be some exciting baseball between these 2 teams in the next couple months. Possibly into the later portion of October, for that matter.

Another Jays win today. You could say they're "Smoak-in"! :D

Justin Smoak hit a grand slam, Troy Tulowitzki added a solo shot and David Price tossed seven strong innings, as the Blue Jays pulled within 2 1/2 games of New York for first place in the American League East with a 6-0 victory over the Yankees on Saturday at Yankee Stadium.

Toronto picked up its seventh consecutive victory and will have a chance to go for the sweep on Sunday afternoon. New York has dropped six of its last 10, which has caused a seven-game lead in the division to quickly dissipate.

Flipping through MLB.tv and stopped on the Braves/Marlins game.

Apparently I missed that the Braves pulled a waiver-trade and have acquired 1B Nick Swisher, OF Justin Bourn, and cash from the Indians for IF Kelly Johnson.

Jays first ever granny in Yankee Stadium.

Yanks were due to drop a series. Have won 8 series and split a 4 gamer with Texas in their last 9.

It is nice to see several "new" faces fighting for division leads this season.

Ya, this didn't really get much press. I only knew about it from Swisher mentioning it on Twitter, then went to find an article about the deal.

Jays sweep with a 2-0 shutout and now are 1 1/2 back of the Yanks, who were held to one run in the series! :D
