Most voters have figured it out. The deals are usually with local pols, and they obviously involve huge bribes.

And IIRC with the case of the Twins stadium, bypassing referendums completely, even when required by law.

Jackie Robinson West Little League in Chicago stripped of its title for using illegal players.

Re: MLB 2015 - Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

NY will forgive him if he puts up a .300/30/100 season and leads them in the playoffs. He doesn't need a letter for that.

Well, there's a VERY strong divide currently amongst fans who are looking forward to him getting back and seeing where he's at, and those who want him nuked from the Yankee's history books forever. The latter of which I have my doubts as whether they'll ever come around on him, regardless of performance.

Me personally? I'm in the first group. Yes, he royally screwed the pooch with his actions and the whole ordeal. But he could still be a valuable part of the drive for a championship, time will tell. He sure as heck isn't going to be traded, so the Yankees are virtually stuck with him, barring unforeseen events occurring.

Pace of play rules just released for this year. Four key points.

Manager replay challenge from dugout instead of on the field.

Batter must keep 1 foot in box.

Timed pitching changes. I think it's 2:30.

Play to resume promptly after return from ad break.

Re: MLB 2015 - Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

I approve 1000% of the changes. I knew they were going to have to change the challenging style sooner or later because it was pretty ridiculous to have the manager meander out onto the field to waste enough time for the phone call to the dugout.

Obviously the change with the biggest impact will be keeping a foot in the box. That's been out of control for years.

I'll always be grateful for his Mariner years. His career stops in 2000 for me.

Just a reminder.... BASEBALL! :)

Spartans vs Phillies on March 1st.

I'm not sure if that's Mich. St. or not.

To circle back around to this, the Phillies lost. By 4 runs.

Caveat: UTampa is ranked #1 in D-II ball, have 14 games played already, and Philly certainly didn't use their opening day lineup. But first time a NCAA team has beaten an MLB team since 2011 (UMiami).

The comments on the Philly blog were priceless. "Good thing we don't have to face those guys again," and my favorite, "if we had used our starters no doubt Tampa would have shut us out."
