The Chicago Cubs organization: allergic to winning at every level.

The Kane County Cougars were traveling home Sunday as champions of the Midwest League.
Will they return next year as an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs?
The two-year player-development agreement between the Cubs and Cougars expired Sept. 11, and sources say it's 50-50 whether the Cubs will renew with the Cougars for 2015 and beyond.

I get that. It doesn't make it any less of a metric cart full of bull ****.

What's bull**** is the overwhelming amount of elite level athletes who have bogus prescriptions for things like adderall.

Ditto for kids. Parents/teachers can't deal with a kid who can't sit still and they zombiefy the poor kid.

Or maybe the poor kid has something screwed up with his brain chemistry.

Re: MLB 2014: I paid the $20 mil posting fee for the right to start this thread

Ned Yost pulls his pitcher after 80 pitches with the lead and the relief pitcher gives up the go ahead runs and the Royals lose.

Apparently, Ned had a gut feeling.

Now why does that sound familiar?

LOL

:D

Jeter will now bat in the bottom of the 9th after the Yankees blow a 3-run lead in the top of the 9th.

Who the hell wrote THAT ending?

Re: MLB 2014: I paid the $20 mil posting fee for the right to start this thread

That's what I'm thinking. The O's didn't really care who won this game in the big picture.

Well, Baltimore was playing for seeding. Not anymore. And it took the Yankees blowing a 3-run lead to get to this point.

Just saying that this opportunity happened (honestly) to come up, and the O's went: *shrug* /giveittohim

If the Orioles were playing it to win, they would have walked him.

Re: MLB 2014: I paid the $20 mil posting fee for the right to start this thread

And they may not have made it out of Yankee Stadium in one piece.

I hate the White Sox.
