Good luck prying it from Joe Nathan's hands.

Thank God TBS is finally going to begin showing games this Sunday. I was beginning to wonder where my fill of RedSox and Yankees games was going to come from.

Huston Street to the Angels in a 6-player deal.

That would be imitating Gene Rayburn. Although to be fair, every Indians fan did blurt out "Rayburn, you [blank]!"

And all the Tiger fans laughed maniacally.

Hall of Fame lowers the number of year a player can stay on the ballot from 15 to 10. The players currently in their 11-15th years of eligibility are grandfathered.

Read a few things suggesting this is being done to keep out the PED guys as some voters are getting older and either dying off or no longer voting, and the ones replacing them are more forgiving of PED use.

Or perhaps this is just the voters realizing that if you can't get in within TEN YEARS of voting, you probably aren't getting in as you were marginal at best.

Partially maybe, but voters get it in their head they don't want to vote for you for whatever reason or criteria then they wont. Edgar Martinez isn't a marginal player, but him being DH means no votes. Might be the same for Ortiz, although he also has PED spectre around him.

Peter Gammons reporting Justin Masterson will be traded to the Cards.

And Felix Doubront from Red Sox to Cubs for a Player to be Named Later

Lackey, Lester and Doubront are all set to be gone. The guy in Section E, Row 5, Seat 16 is penciled in to pitch on Saturday.

And the frightening thought is that at 5 pm tomorrow night Buchholtz could be the staff "ace".

No, the frightening thought is that next April Buchholz will be the staff ace.

Red Sox have six players under contract for more than $4 million.
