Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

Dunno if they closed the bridge in Delano today; yesterday the water was touching the bottom of the structure, and the Crow River was still rising.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

The sky appears to have just opened up and is really letting the rain crash to the ground today. It's a good thing, too, because I was afraid we were teetering on the edge of a drought around these parts.

Made it interesting while bar hopping last night. Nothing like racing to/from the party bus in a monsoon.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

The Chicago area is in a "moderate" risk area for severe weather this afternoon... Gonna be interesting to see what fires up as we progress into the evening...

Of course I have to be on the field for a 4pm summer high school baseball game... Wonder if I'll have coaches that want to play, lightning be ****ed, or guys that will actually let me do the job and suspend the game if the situation dictates

Sirens going off in Oak Lawn and Evergreen Park.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

So the dew point hit 80 today. I have never seen it that high before. Even now, it's 77 out with a 75 dew point. This is insane. I hate it.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

Happened a few years ago. Highest dew points ever recorded in Minnesota. Or close to it.

There's a local weather station someone linked to the Internet. During that stretch two years ago, the river valley hit a heat index in excess of 120.
