Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

Last night had to head up to to the Crystal/New Hope area after work. It had started snowing then. 169 was crap, as usual, so I took side roads. Still crap, but less traffic.

Let's just say that the other drivers on those roads drove like they never had SEEN snow before.

Green light: let off brake......let car naturally accelerate. You know get traction. FOR A F*ING MILE.

I finally did the ahole moves in my Wrangler, and weaved ahead of these morons. Boom, Alpha Driver, about 4-5 of 'em merged to my lane, and all of a sudden, they can go faster! Wow, what a surprise! Not that I was doing 60 in a 40 or anything, I was simply DOING THE SPEED LIMIT OR 5 MILES UNDER, depending on the stretch of the road.

I hate stupid people.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

While it rained in the Cities it was snowing on the Iron Ranges.

BTW the weather for the Final Final looks chilly. In fact the temps may be half of what they were last year! PLEASE Warm up.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

Just checked the updated 120 hr forecast model (5 days) from now - Monday much of mn will get 18-20 inches of snow. I do not think this winter will ever end.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

18-20? Which model did you view? I'm seeing between 1" and 2" on five days out.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

There's no way that's correct. For three reasons:

1. The ECMWF model is showing about 2" of snowfall over that time period.
2. The GFS model is showing less than an inch of precipitation over the 24-hour period starting 7 pm Monday
3. Paul Douglas hasn't told us we're all going to die.

Bingo. When Belinda Jensen tells us that we are goners, then we will really have nothing to worry about.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

****it weather warm up! I guess we were due for a colder spring after last years summer like temps at this time.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

The news networks have begun telling us that the end is nigh. Ruh roh. I hope it goes nuts, because I won't have to be in Hastings at 6:00am then.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

Just blew 4 inches of snow off the driveway WITHOUT a coat on - it is actually pleasant outside. We are getting another 4-6 tonight/tomorrow.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

So KARE 11.2's station is saying that the historical record snowfall in Minneapolis for April was in 1984, and that total was 18.7" for the month. This year we have 21.5", half the month remaining, and a couple inches forecast for Thursday.

Oh, and we're 15-20 degrees below average. Normal highs by the end of the week is 61. That won't be us this year.

Tonight felt much more like football weather than baseball weather at Target Field.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

This weather is sucky. I guess this averages out the awesome weather we had last year.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

Duluth broke a record for most snowfall from Feb to April. They have over 100 inches of snow this year.

Re: Minnesotans Still Arguing About the Weather...

A coworker told me his utilities bill said that this month was 24 degrees colder than the same period last year.
