*Looks at the fresh 8 inches of snow in the last 24 hours*

*Looks at the over 100 inches of snowfall total this winter*

*Looks at the 2 degrees Fahrenheit temperature*

Yeah, I think I know where your guys’ winters went…

Yeah, it was 78 here a few days ago. It was us. Sorry. :-(

We actually had a gross humid summer day in January. It wasn't even pleasant. Virginia: not even once.

I also miss the sun. I don’t remember a January this gloomy. I’d rather it be 20 and sunny. Even having some snow on the ground wouldn’t help much this year as it’s always cloudy

Yesterday might be the first time I had to squint my eyes while driving this month. People with SAD must be stirring something fierce this year.

As I said to my SO...welcome to Seattle Winter because minus the fog this is what it was like the winter I lived there.

It’s exactly like Seattle winter now. I remember thinking it was ok that first Seattle winter because it didn’t rain much- more drizzle - and was warmer than brutal mn winters.

Yeah living there while everyone here suffered through the first Polar Vortex was some serious good luck! The drizzling was annoying but man I enjoyed that winter. Washingtonians were whiny though ;^)

I'm not going to say you're wrong, because you're not, bur...

I am hyperacutely aware of sun levels. The sun comes in through my window and blinds me in the morning and then washes out my monitors in the afternoon. So I have to close one of the curtains in the morning and then open it and close the other in the afternoon. This is every day but especially bad in the winter due to the angle of the sun.

Anyways, this is all to say I somewhat disagree. It's been slightly below average.

GDO must be getting more sun lol. I have super sensitive eyes ever since getting lasik and it’s normal to need sunglasses when I walk the dogs. Have hardly needed them this month

I’m in StLP, which I’ve gathered isn’t far from you or Handy, and I agree with both of you. Gray, gray, and more gray here. (Not including Monday and so far today)

DGF was right. NWS says this was the lowest solar rariarion received in January for MSP.

Odd though, looking at the total hours of sky over, it was 5 hours more than last January.

My snowblower is not working. I’ll get it fixed this summer, perhaps replace it. I’ve had horrible luck with snowblowers.

Toro.
theres a reason you never see a Honda snowblower. They make brilliant lawnmowers and I'm sure their snowblowers are great, but they cost 2x what an ariens or toro does.
