Whoa, that's too soon to need a rebuild...
Do you think I should just try to put in some new gas, a couple shots of carburetor cleaner and see what happens?
Honestly, I'm not much of a small engine guy, but I thought that if you allow your gas to go bad that it will gum up the carburetor and thus needing the attention/re-build.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Mississippi River Near Fort Ripley.
* At 9:30 AM Thursday the stage was 10.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 10.4 feet by this
evening. The river will fall below flood stage early Saturday
morning.
* At 11.0 feet...This will cause minor flooding of rural areas near
Fort Ripley..
This crest compares to a previous crest of 10.3 feet on May 22 2015.
Tonight: A 50 percent chance of snow, mainly after 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature rising to around 5 by 3am. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Friday: Snow, mainly after 11am. High near 12. Light and variable wind becoming northeast 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

I saw -18F on the car outside temp monitor on Tuesday morning driving in southeastern ND.
Last night KFYR-AM (Bismarck) was saying -30F in Bismarck on Saturday morning.
Wasn't all that bad. Low was 5 when I got up, -15 wind chill. Bundled up and walked to work. Only got 4 in of snow today then turned to rain. Mid 50's tomorrow.Looking at -20 wind chills Fri am and then near 50 on Sun.
Headed over to St Paul for a get-together. The outside lanes of the highways were a little tight, the plows haven't completely cleared them yet. Some icy patches too. On the way home tonight (about 11pm) saw a few spinouts, I'm guessing black ice; it is -16 currently.
Went out for a smoke earlier in the night, it was about -3, slight breeze, but it actually wasn't that bad. Didn't feel really chilly, surprisingly.
