Same here but they usually have their football blinders on and refuse to acknowledge anything else exists in their own little world.

How is it possible for UW fans to suck and blow at the same time?

ahem, these two teams did play once for all the marbles. Methinks you know how that one went down!

Wisconsin's atrocious record vs. the rats under Jeff Sauer (pretty much went 1-3 annually) really have skewed the overall record. Johnson was close to .500, Eaves record vs. gophs I'm not sure on

Per USCHO, this is Eaves' 10th season, which would make '02-'03 his first. Here are his records season by season vs MN:
'02-'03: 0-4
'03-'04: 1-2-1
'04-'05: 1-3
'05-'06: 3-2
'06-'07: 1-4
'07-'08: 1-1-2
'08-'09: 2-1-1
'09-'10: 2-2
'10-'11: 1-1-2
Total: 12-20-6 (0.395)

Considering the last four seasons constitute one of the worst four-year stretches in Gopher hockey history, it's rather amusing that UW only managed to go 6-5-5 against MN in that time.

Eaves needs to re-emphasize the importance of destroying the rodents. anything under .500 is unacceptable...

You do know the Gophs have the same number of championships right (6)? Here's a photo of the Championship banners hung at the Mooch.. Some say it should be 7 (1929'). That 29' banner is hung with the Conference banners.

While I agree that The Gophers indeed have seven championships, '29 and '40 do not carry the same weight. 1929 isn't hung because it was rewarded AND shared. (Yale)
