Who is "we"? People from Wisconsin who only care about Hockey?!


Because talking like that CANCELS OUT ALL OF WISCONSIN FOOTBALL HISTORY!!!!!!!!!!!


UMn has 10 Natl Titles in football, and Wisconsin has ZERO. None, nada, zip, zilch. 1 minus 1 = Wisconsin's # of Fb Natl Titles.


And you do remember HOW your hockey program got to be where it is at today, right?! Yeah, FORMER GOPHER Bob Johnson and a bunch of Minnesota boys combined with a bunch of Canadians = HALF of UWs Titles.

And some Gopher fans may have disowned Bob when he took the Wisconsin job, but I am not one of them. I am ok with Wisconsin being decent in Hockey, as it helped a former Gopher get into the US Hockey Hall of Fame,

and UMn has TWENTY-FOUR former players in the US Hockey Hall of Fame now, thanks in part to Wisconsin letting a former Gopher rebuild them from basically nothing.


How many US Hockey Hall of Famers does Wisconsin have now? 5?


24-5.


and it helps us when we beat your Badgers. And we've done that just shy of 160 times.

Has Wisconsin even gotten to 100 wins over UMn yet?


Yeah, 158-90.

So, having more national titles is important in football, but not hockey?

P.S. - The Gophers only claim 7 national titles in football.

That is not what I said. A little reading comprehension goes a long ways.

P.S. - Who cares how many the Gopher's "claim". What others claim is what is important. Only ONE school in the country has more Cfb Natl Titles than Minnesota according to Billingsley. Other selectors have them ranked lower, obviously, but one thing that ALL selectors have in common?! They ALL have Wisconsin listed as having ZERO cfb titles.

P.P.P.S. - I feel Natl Titles are yes, probably the most important factor when discussing sports, but some schools don't have any Natl Titles in some sports(UW-Fb, Wichita St bb), and some schools haven't won a Title in 50+ years(Cincy bb, Minny fb). But I look at a lot of factors when discussing sports, SOS, AAs, POYs, HOFers, Pro All-Stars, Olympics participation and Medal counts, pro drafts picks, and whatever else is relevant to the particular discussion at hand.

Well, I guess we are even then since I don't claim you either. Never thought "claiming" a perfect stranger who I ran across on the internet was a good idea. Why would you even bring it up? Why would you claim anyone for that matter? I'm not meaning to tell you to f off or anything, just letting you know I didn't come here looking for friends, or enemies for that matter. But having here for the entertainment.

Remember the Prodigal Son? He was hated by his brother, but not his father. If the B1G is the father of sorts, then UW and UMn could be like twin brothers who hate each other. Iowa is the little brother neither of us like. Michigan is like the oldest brother who doesn't respect either of us, MSU the little brother we like more than the rest, and everyone else are brothers from a different mother. Nebraska is the orphan we adopted and brought into our family.

So I'm the type of person that brings brothers together? LOL

That is one thing that GPL does that I wish this place would do, come tourney time: temporarily prohibit new-user sign-ups. That being said, I'd rather deal with these idjits than the spammers that have shown up in recent weeks.

I keep clicking on this post but nothing is happening. :(


Sticking it to Brent in the run-up this week the only thing really missing for several Badger posters. Can't have everything I suppose.

Occurs to me that if the UM's can manage to split their four games and the Badgers can carry a little momentum forward the B1G could wind up a pretty close finish.

Hope Jake Bischoff is ok. He really got his clock rocked in what probably should have been a penalty. Didn't watch the replay though.
