Let's try this fun little experiment.
This series will be another litmus test for this {ADJECTIVE ABOUT TEAM A} {TEAM A} as the new and improved {CONFERENCE TEAM A AND TEAM B PLAY IN} {TEAM A / TEAM B} rivalry kicks into high gear tonight. The {TEAM A NAME} roll into {TEAM B CITY} riding a {COMMENT ABOUT TEAM A PERFORMANCE}, and despite {TEAM B NAME} {COMMENT ABOUT TEAM B PERFORMANCE}, they’ve been surprisingly tough at home since {COMMENT ABOUT RECENT MATCHUPS BETWEEN TEAM A AND TEAM B}. However, with two key offensive players ({TEAM B INJURED PLAYERS}) out with {INJURY}, the {TEAM B} have only {SILLY PHRASE FOR GOAL SCORING} {RECENT PERFORMANCE STATISTIC}.
You can take your pick of pretty much any 2 rival teams out there and plug in the appropriate items and you will have a valid "preview" for a hockey game.
Ooooh, new million dollar idea! Mad-Libs for hockey previews!
In all seriousness though, it was a nice preview. There was obviously some time that went into checking various sources for injury news and for recent statistics, but it was still kind of a "fill-in-the-blanks" style of a post. But when you come back to the board to declare yourself the winner of the internets for correctly identifying some very basic points about hockey (PP/PK play, crowd the net, match physicality), you come off like you just got done {DISGUSTING ACT THAT TEAM B'S FANS ACCUSE TEAM A'S FANS OF}.
