Minnesota @ Wisconsin : 02/15 - 02/17

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin : 02/15 - 02/17

I remember when I was a young lad of 16, sitting in my parents' kitchen eating cereal before going to school. I took the quiz on the back of the box of Lucky Charms, and when I was done, I suddenly had a major panic: Dammit! Did I just apply to the University of Minnesota?
Makes sense that a BADger fan would be 16 and too drunk before school to comprehend what they are doing. Unfortunately, that is usually as sober as they get on a typical day.

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin : 02/15 - 02/17

Posting about how much the state of Wisconsin and its inhabitants suck is redundant not to mention passé. I'd rather talk about hockey because quite frankly they bore the s**t out of me.

Well Sunshine, what about hockey would you like to discuss?

Alright, that's it. You and me, right now, cage match.:mad::mad:
Bring it.

But first I have to go to the urinal and make a deposit to Pig's Eye's brew kettles...

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin : 02/15 - 02/17

Perhaps a bit convoluted, but still... I like it. :)

As for tonight, I expect the Badgers to be beneficiaries of stellar goal tending while relentlessly dominating and dictating play. Results will be the best Badger performance of the year...In other words-- a 2-2 finish.

4-1 WI. Afterward this thread extends 13 pages with Gooph's crying about how the ref's didn't put Bucky on the pp enough.

Anyway anytime you can work in killing rodents with radiation, especially North Korean radiation, you have to go for it. Of course you have to be following AND understand world politics to understand the little story, something that's far above the the ability of things that live in the dirt. And eat the dirt. And crap the in dirt. And clean themselves in the dirt. So many wasted keystrokes, yet not a total waste, at least the WI fans will get it.

Goofer hockey: gofer < nightcrawler

You can't even use a goofer for bait, unless you're fishing for esox, but even they wouldn't stoop as low as to eat a goofer; only a starving North Korean would, but if they find out they originated from their hated sworn enemy the US of A, they'd just pee on the carcasses and then burn them and US flags chanting some anti US slogan. Great, now I just started WWIII. It's all gonna end sometime.

Speaking of Korean radiation and Grain Belt, I saw where Bill Murray is set to star in another sequel of sorts. Actually it's a combo-sequel called 'Ground Hog's Caddyshack Day. ' In it Bill comes up with myriad ways of killing gophers all day long. Then he has to repeat the same day over and over, killing millions of rodents until he finally gets it right and exterminates them all, wiping them from the face of the earth forever. Bill said it was the most fun he's ever had making a picture.

I'm taking the whole family!

.

All you really need is a spigot, some garden hose, and a club. Badger fans should bring pieces of garden hose and waive them around like homer hankies or thunder sticks. The little buggers on the ice and their pointy-headed little fans won't know where to run.

Part of gopher tradition. :)

To be honest I am not sure what to make of this series. I am pretty sure UW is going to give the Gophers fits, but won't have to dumb it down like some of my brethren believe. UW's record the past several weeks is quite impressive, but so is UM's so who's going to give? There will be a ton of energy on both sides and this might be the most important series these two teams have played against each other this late in several years. If Wilcox doesn't give up any softies I can see a Gophers sweep, but if he falters then a split is very possible. That might be naive but I really like this team up and down the lineup, and their special teams are in fact special.

Should be fun and hopefully is a precursor to this rivalry really heating up in the BT.

I agree with your analysis of the possibilities.

The bolded portion is what I'd like to see. Our season in B.S., so I need something to get fired up about.

Rau's first slash-and-hide-behind-the-nearest-linesman should do it. :p

That's just a Sue urban legend, never happened.

Rau is usually right in the middle of most scraps with or without refs near.

If I'm honest too, I really don't know how we play well enough defensively to overcome what is likely to be an enormous gap in special teams play. The best strategy for MN is actually to just slash away. 1-47 on the pp against teams in the top 30 defensively. Bucky needs some puck luck at home tonight.

This entire site is based upon perpetuating urban legends and stereotypes.

Rau's a lily-liver as far as I'm concerned.

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin : 02/15 - 02/17

Good to get it tied up before the end of the period. If the Gophers tighten up on their D-zone coverage and quit standing around for stretches, while changing little to nothing on offense they should win.

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin : 02/15 - 02/17

Wow, Gophers on pace for 60 shots on goal with 20 in the first. Get guys to the net and we should be able to pop some in.

Minnesota with much better chances so far after 2. Im at game. The zebras missed two pretty obvious calls during 4 minute powerplay against goldy. Eaves is hot

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin : 02/15 - 02/17

Another big goal on the PP late in the period, especially after the shots fell off a little. Need to get more pucks to the net like in the first. Wisconsin stop cheating.

They missed about 17 on Wisconsin before they finally called a double minor. Mid 2nd period the announcers said it was going to have to be a play that took away a chance at a goal to be called and that is all that was called in the period except for the matching minors they called.
