the gophers are not one of the best teams in the country.

Yeah they still are despite the poor 1st period and results tonight. Many other "top" teams have lost as well this weekend, welcome to College Hockey parity.

The Gophers are one of the best, but they are a bit overrated at this point.

while the gophers have split with michigan tech and mankato, michigan tech went on to get swept by denver AND swept by omaha. and mankatos only wcha series they were swept by st cloud. HOW are the gophers one of the top teams in the country?

they have left 4 of 8 wcha points on the table against teams that are a combined 0-6 against other wcha competition

Based on what ?

A tie with the US Highschool team
a big 1-0 win over Canisus
A split with Tech
And a Split with Mankato

Yup cream of the crop alright

I guess it depends on what you define as "one of the top", I'm not saying they should be #1 or even #2 but they are still a top 5 team IMO.

As soon as they start playing the games on paper their Number 1, until then welll lets just see how it goes. Oh wait Doug Woog could verify it for us .

Make sure to put 2 layers on tonight when you are scoring with that "hot" mankato chick.

On an even brighter side, they are underperforming earlier than usual this year, so really they are developing ahead of schedule.
