Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

And Cleveland remembers that they are Cleveland.

More importantly, the Twins remembered that they are the *ing TWINS!

Congratulations to Gardy on career win number 800.

What ever happened to Wilbur?

I didnt have access to the game from the 5th on how did they come back if I might ask?

Getting a couple key hits, a risky go for the fly by Cle outfielder, and some tight D.

I could have gone tonight...I went last night though and I am still recuperating from a cold :/

I knew the division would not be close but this is ridiculous

Valencia had a couple hits, Delmon had a couple hits, Thome walked, catcher dropped the ball on a close play at the plate... bullpen shut the door...

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

Cleveland did everything one would expect from a team that's 30 games back.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

Thome started that rally in the eighth by poking one through the left side to beat the shift. It was beautiful.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

Thome's homer could have killed someone!

We call that a Thomer :)

So...since Punto wont be getting $4 million next year I am in favor of the "Give Jim Thome $3 million to Retire a Twin". Do I think he will replicate this year next season...no. Do I want the chance to see him hit #600 at TF in a Twins Killebrew Era Jersey...OH HELL YEAH! :D

If he does half of what he did this year, with current baseball salaries, it'd be worth it.

I simply can't stand Hawk. I can't help but wonder if people from Chicago know just how terrible he is at life and calling baseball.

Why would fans of Chicago care...he doesnt call games for the Cubs ;)

Yes I am full on saying no one in that town gives two craps about the White Sox :D They dont even have the Blackhawks bandwagon they are so ignored ;)

I literally just laughed out loud. Double steal when up by 4 and completely out of the postseason race. Brilliant.
