Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part II - The Franchise Strikes Back

So the 3rd run got charged to Willis instead? By that time I was detached from baseball in general and I was watching the Red Wings attempt to swallow a chicken bone.
Yeah, the one run that scored that inning was Willis's.
We'll argue about anything around here. For the record I liked Blackburn staying in the game. It's early in the year, you already have shortened your bullpen, low pitch count.......blah........blah..........blah.

Twins won.

Does he do it in a playoff game? No.
No kidding, we've won twice as many as we've lost, but still there are stupid arguments about leaving a pitcher out, TO GET THE WIN, and who's ****tier, Span or Young.

Young is still the worst player we have in the starting nine. Despite his recent run of good hitting.

At least Punto (who can't hit either) brings his glove to the park every day.

Well, that isn't really fair. We have a very good starting 9. ;)

I have hated Delmon FAR more than most. Up until this year he was typically worse than the 15th best AL left fielder. The trade continues to be a complete disaster.

All that said, he is playing much better than Span, Kubel, and whoever we put at third. If Delmon actually improves as the season goes on, I may be forced to be happy we have him.

Delmon's defense is mostly irrelevant. Consider it entertainment. He will catch the easy ones, and the others will be doubles.

Well there isnt much else to argue about...when this is what we are discussing that is a good sign ;)

Plus the whole point was if you are going to rip one player rip every player where said criticism applies. I dont hide that I like to point out double standards or irrational hate that is why I support Nick Punto when no one else will.

I do it at games too first game I went to people were ripping Punto early on and so I joked around with them about it, he made a few nice plays and got a couple key hits so I kept standing up and applauding and chanting MVP and everyone laughed :D

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part II - The Franchise Strikes Back

Twins could use a good 7 or 8 run inning. Only having a 1 run lead is keeping me distracted from work.

When did Slowey become Moonshot?

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part II - The Franchise Strikes Back

And it appears that hell is going to freeze over. Casilla and Punto have managed to score a run. Granted they needed a walk and an error to do it.

And now Span drive Punto in.

5-2 Twins

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part II - The Franchise Strikes Back

Thanks for playing Slowey...

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part II - The Franchise Strikes Back

Crains strikes out Sizemore...will someone tell Slowey the good things that happen when you put the ball in the strike zone ;)

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part II - The Franchise Strikes Back

Well they dont have to be right over the plate...but he wasnt even close on that last walk ;)

I wont lie, I have never much liked Slowey.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part II - The Franchise Strikes Back

Punto with a hit then Spanzy with a hit...lets keep pumping up those averages boys! :D

Well, I'm not watching, just following the gamecast, so I have little clue what is actually going on besides seeing the end results of the AB's.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part II - The Franchise Strikes Back

Speaking of upping averages...Tigers Intentionally Walk MVP-orneau to load the bases for Kubel...

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part II - The Franchise Strikes Back

Kubel strikes out and looks silly doing it. "Most Dangerous Lefthanded Hitter No One Knows About" indeed ;)

edit: I didnt even notice that bigblue!

MorneauVP actually works better but isnt as funny :p

The only thing that is scared by Kubel at this point is his respectable career batting average.
