There are three scheduling pods of 3 teams each. Every year one pod plays the other teams in their pod three times instead of four. This is due to having nine teams in the conference and is set up so every team gets the same number of league games. It’s your turn this year (Mavs, Tommies, Vikings). The other two pods are Falcons, Dawgs, Lakers, and ‘Cats, Huskies, Beavers.Does anybody know why there's only one game against St. Thomas this weekend? They had a home-and-home earlier, so they'll play three games against each other for the season. Very strange.
Yeah, it's been bad. Sitting #17, but in reality it doesn't matter; anything below probably 13 or 14 won't get an at-large bid. They'll likely have to win the conference tourney to get an NCAA bid.I haven't seen anyone talk about Mankato losing 5 of their last 6 games. I am surprised we have not dropped out of the top-20 power rankings with the recent losses to Ferris, Augustana (1 loss, 1 OT Loss), and U-Mass Lowell.
And now it's 6 of the last 7. And in 5th place.I haven't seen anyone talk about Mankato losing 5 of their last 6 games.
Yeah, controlled the play for most of the game, but simply couldn't score. Can't seem to find any goal scorers right now...been a while since this was a lingering problem.
The scorers didn't show up. 0 for 6 on the powerplay. One regular goal, one empty net goal, and one that might as well have been an empty netter when NMU's bench couldn't make up its mind about pulling the goalie and got him caught out in no-man's land. A very strange end to the season, but I'm happy the MacNaughton is in Mankato again.you never know if the scorers are going to show up. Hoping Tracy brings his A game and we get some more luck from the other rinks. Go Mavs
