The fans can be louder, get away with a little more hostility (not obscenities, but more liveliness and innuendo), etc. The Mecca/REA/Amsoil......lotta corpies. When it's loud it's loud, but it's less continuity of loudness, if you get what I am saying. Even SCSU, as crappy an arena as it is, has more atmosphere than the major schools.

Atmosphere takes time to build.

I'm guessing that when you've been to Yost it was for the now defunct College Hockey Showcase. There are maybe 50 students there for those games as that "tournament" was held over Thanksgiving break. Michigan students go home on break...

I suggest going to Yost while school is in session, much different feel.
