Minnesota hosts Wisconsin: 11/29 & 11/30

Re: Minnesota hosts Wisconsin: 11/29 & 11/30

Chris Borland: “It’s happened for as long as I’ve been alive. You go to both goal posts. They kind of crashed our party, but that’s all right. They should be mad.”

Wisconsin sweeps: 4-2 and 4-3

Far be it for me to help out a gofer, but there are ways around it.

Nah, I think they have it locked down tight.

I don't know what's less likely, the Badgers sweeping the Gophers or the Badgers scoring 4 goals two games in a row against a quality opponent.

Yeah, it's hard to imagine any team ever getting 4 on the mighty Gophers.

I just don't like badger/Wisconsin sports fans. Your championship or bust year doesn't seem to starting off that well. Is anyone on here going to commit to the badgers for next year? It would be easy to spin whomever it is into a really good player since that'll surely happen for every commit.

It seems times have changed quickly on the better side of the river from:
The Gophers ****ing suck. Boom.

Signed,

WCHA playoffs and Final Five? 4-1, 7-2, 4-1. Duluth, Mankato, SCSU

Boom.

I said "quality" opponents. Duluth last season was hardly a quality opponent. Sooooo...... BOOM

And I stand by my point. I'll be stunned if you either sweep the Gophers at Mariucci (especially after Sunday) or put up 4 two games in a row. Unless you get some puck luck, of course :p

Let's see... Last year the gofer's started out 13-3-3 and were ranked #1. How did that work out for you?

See over here we prefer to climb up the mountain as we go along. Over on the dark side the preferred method seems to be helicoptering up, then falling off the top.
Don't worry, we'll still wave as you pass by.

You're season ended on a better note?? Interesting that you'd classify having to win the conference tourney to quality for the post season and then getting thoroughly demolished in the first round better than winning the conference and then taking the eventual National Champion to overtime before losing.

I prefer to watch attractive hockey and lose than the trap.

Yeah, I suppose the rodent players will block the UW players from going to congratulate Petersen and Rumpel when they win the games. Then all $^#*@ is gonna break loose. The hockey players won't take any crap like the FB players did. I would have planted that ax in someone's helmet.

What dumb times for the games, nice one rodents.

IndianaBadger - Just giving you crap, by the way. I really have no idea what to expect this weekend. This Gopher team has the ability to absolutely dismantle any team in the nation if they are playing on top of their game, but they are also very, very young and have relied a little too much on their youth and their goaltending at times this season. The Badgers have a good team, and are a veteran squad. Before the season began, I predicted they Badgers would win and tie this series.

Got to imagine the Gophers will have a fire lot under them after Sunday (at least I would hope), so they will probably come out extra hard on Friday. I'm going to guess a split, with the Gophers winning Friday and the Badgers on Saturday. Which will suck, because I'll be there Saturday.

Blame ESPN and the BTN. Though I'm not sure why you're complaining, as TV games are hard to come by for you Yahoos. That's what happens when you play a program that moves the ratings needle. So, you're welcome.

Well, a team full of high quality Minnesota kids playing an up-tempo game could do it, and did. The BADgers on the other hand....

I'd be happy to make a bet with IndinaBADger or any others on the BADgers sweeping up here this weekend, and/or scoring 8 goals on the weekend. :p
