I'd rest your sieves all weekend and just go without. Your first D back will be enough in front of the net. Oh.....wait......the rodent D don't actually play D too often, that may not work.
Can't blame either fan base for feeling a little down right now...
A "little down" would be a huge step up for most of us right now.
Can't say I'm all that bent anymore though. Acceptance has set in.
It's gonna be a couple years (at minimum).
I have to admit, I'd be a lot more nervous about this series if the Gophers were living up to expectations.
As in, there'd be more to lose?
Nor I. Just as we saw the Wolverines continue their rebound last weekend, we could see the Badgers affirm their nascent rebound this weekend. Gophers clearly have a talent advantage but will need to find ways to use it to their advantage, while the Badgers will be looking to effectively neutralize the Gophers' speed game by using the body and their usual trap scheme. I think it'll be important for the Gophers to grab the early lead to force the Badgers out of their game plan.Precisely. While it would REALLY hurt the Gophers to lose this weekend, I won't be surprised.
Well, there you go. Both teams have a very simple game plan: do whatever it takes to score first and be leading after twenty minutes! The Gophers are 8-1 when leading after one. The badgers... haven't led after one.
I heard Wisconsin doesn't even consider us a rival.
