Minnesota hosts Michigan at Mariucci Arena this weekend for two games. Friday night is at 8pm and is on the B1G network, Saturday's game is at 7pm and is on the FSN Plus channel. Michigan is coming off a 4-1 win over Michigan State in an outdoor game at Soldier Field, Minnesota is coming off a sweep 4-2 and 6-2 over Ohio State at Mariucci. Should be a fun series with plenty of "racehorse" style of hockey, I'm looking forward to it.

Conference games should never be played outdoors, too much at stake on crappy ice.

It was a novelty for a couple of years, but the time has come to let it go. Not only is it often crappy ice for the players, it's ALWAYS poor sight lines for the fans, and can be miserable conditions weather-wise for both (like the Gopher-OSU game last year at TCF Bank Stadium :eek: - not fun!).

And let's just hope that the Gophers aren't brought in to the Stadium Series that the Wild will be playing in next year - unless it's a complete exhibition game.

Thank you. These games are an event. You go just to be a part of it and hang out in the cold with everyone, not to actually watch the game.

With 6/10 posts about outside games, it sure seems like we are playing outside.

Does it make you feel better to belittle other teams fans and their uniforms? You feel superior because you call other people clueless?

That's interesting. Maybe we should look into that more. Seems like you have some issues with your personal outlook. You need some more self esteem.

Yes... it does make me feel better. But it is well justified because we are superior. Plus, have you seen your helmets? I mean come on!

For all of the arrogance that you guys are suppose to have- and to need to do that- well, just wonder about all of that arrogance.

Besides, our helmets are so cool that we don't have to put any kind of letter on them to identify ourselves.
