I know many have heard of his injuries that ended his hockey career and his subsequent drug abuse problems and arrest. Nice to see he's made it out of that situation and has made a positive turn in his life. I understand the mentor mentioned in the article had his own issues with alcohol abuse years ago and some of his hockey friends from Edina helped pull him out of it and he is returning the favor to Nate.
I had spoken with the dad of a kid on his team earlier and the dad talked about how much the kids loved playing for Nate.

Last meeting was Dodge Holiday Classic 06-07, Gophers won 5-2. The video broadcast of Friday's game vs. Union and the earlier game BSU vs. Ferris State are both available on the Gold Zone ($12.95).
Not sure why the footage of the tying and winning goals from the Gophers 2002 NC championship vs. Maine is in there.
Last meeting was Dodge Holiday Classic 06-07, Gophers won 5-2. The video broadcast of Friday's game vs. Union and the earlier game BSU vs. Ferris State are both available on the Gold Zone ($12.95).

Let me guess the sleep deprivation was before they played the Fighting Sioux. Then the roid rage kicked in after the Hill coached gophers got humiliated up in North Dakota. Seems like normal predictible behavior to me.
But seriously, if just after he started receiving treatment that illness prevented Lucia from exercising self restraint when dealing with his assistant coaches and the players, the results from that Sioux/Gopher series that was played while Lucia out ill should have definately set him off like TNT.
But then as a Sioux fan it would have been entertaining to see him explode.Not so much fun for the gophers though.

Not a good weekend for Gopher men's hockey with a loss and a tie and failed to move up in the PWR. Tonight the Gophers lost tons of faceoffs. FSU plays a close checking game limiting good SOG, and Nagle was stellar in net as expected. Jake Hansen had another good game and really hustled out there. The Gophers continue to struggle on home ice (5-6-3). Next up....US Under-18 Team next weekend. Gophers should win...I hope.

They most certainly do mean the Gophers will miss the NCAA again.... They pretty much have to run the table (3 points or better) the rest of the season make the top 15 in PairWise... Everytime they have been give gold opportunities to make a move in the WCHA or Pairwise they have layed a rotten stinky egg mainly the weekend against Mankato (UNO being swept by BSU) and this weekend have really hurt the Gophers.

It will if they lose. The U may finally disown them. Yeah, unfortunately I don't think they have a snowballs chance in hell of making the NCAAs this season. The carnage in GF should be fun to watch.
