Minnesota Gophers 2024-25

Both early commitments for the sinners (Talyor) and tunnelers (Stoughton) play for Lovell Academy in the Boston area (Rockland). Seeing WCHA schools cherry pick recruits out of a few of the Hockey Least school's backyards might just set off a tirade about a certain Boston area school's coach and recruiting.

Another Lovell Academy player, one with the last name of the school, will likely make her college pick soon—and I believe all the WCHA powers would have interest in her too.

We can only hope.

The rodents raid Mason Ohio and land u18 forward Sydney Stoughton. With the last name of Stoughton however, she probably should have came to Wisconsin. There was a city named after her already in the Madison area.
Not pronounced the same as the Wisconsin town, as I understand. Or the Massachusetts town (which is the same as the Wisconsin town).

How is Stoughton pronounced differently in WI than out east? Stowton is how I pronounce it.
The player's name is pronounced with the ow sound as in now. The Massachusetts town uses the long O sound (STOH-ton). I remember reading that the Wisconsin town is pronounced like the latter.

Town in WI is STOW-ton, as in pack things away that weigh 2000 pounds.

Historically, it has a very Norwegian population, such that they hold a festival for "Syttende Mai", Norwegian independence day. Part of the weekend is a road race that starts at the Capitol Square in Madison and ends just off the main street in Stoughton, 20 miles. I ran it twice (many many years ago).
