Minnesota Gopher Season Thread: 2014-15 (Continued)

Re: Minnesota Gopher Season Thread: 2014-15 (Continued)

Maybe you guys should just adopt the trap if it's so unfair. With your 30 NHL draft picks, surely you will trap better than anybody else.

who wants to be bored every game? Not I.

Better to look pretty than win. It's the Gophers way. Always has been.
They can still look pretty AND win, as long as the effort is there. But these days they need MORE effort, grit and "dirty" goals to win consistently...not quite there yet, this year anyway.

Except no one ever said it was unfair, I said it was boring, crappy hockey, which it is. Why watch that when you could watch forwards actually skate and you know, try to score goals. Sorry but having 5 "defensemen" out there isn't the hockey I want to watch.

Yeah, we saw plenty of that from the Wild when Jacques was in charge.

I think it's time to bleach the hair...

I heard Kevin Wehrs bleached his hair after I blew the doors off of him so that no one would notice who he was but he forgot to cut away the wristband the hospital gave him so he was the only guy on the club with bleached hair and everyone still knew who he was, CBS was going to do a survivor series in Wehrs' corner but Kevin wouldn't go back. About a month later they got swept at home by Anchorage first round of the WCHA playoffs.

LOL! Didn't you knock Kevin Wehrs out IN the first round of the WCHA playoffs?

Good question, the problem is Wehrs went towards the light in that corner so many times it's hard to remember but I'll call Frattin and ask, I'll update everyone after practice.

I just noticed Travis Boyd made "Faces in the Crowd" in the March 2 Sports Illustrated.

I like the strategy of giving the dogs here a bone and watching them wag their tails.
