I know this is the Minnesota thread but I think it's a little too much bias. You're right Minnesota had control for a good portion of the first... But from then on the only time Minnesota was in control of that game was when they were on the pp, which in my opinion was called a little one sided and kept that game closer than it should have been. Clarkson was hands down the better team on the 5 on 5 for the majority of that game.
Minnesota finally had to play against a team that can actually put pressure on them defensively at both ends of the ice. They completely shut down Minnesota's play style of strong control in the neutral zone through the transition, and Minnesota just didn't know how to handle it.
Though I will say, Minnesota is basically guaranteed to win it next year. With Brandt in her senior year, the return of Kessel, and Leveille having now experienced the pressure of a National Chapionship. She had big shoes to fill, replacing Raty.
