The Daily and GWH versatility. Versatility they have needed for sure.

Good to hear that we'll likely have at least one player back for this weekend, hopefully more.

Looks like the team's having a recent unassailable record doesn't hurt the type of apparent quality that has been rounded up on the recruiting trail.

OK, I see what's going on with attendance, only those fans entering with a ticket are counted, students and others who get in with an ID card are not counted
attendance today was just under 2000, but it looked like more people than attended the WI games

and thank you NoDak fans for coming to Ridder, now if you can just support your team in Grand Forks like you did yesterdat
only about 1000 show up in Grand Forks

A solid all around game by the Gophers. Don't believe the shot totals; the run of the game is better described by the score. To be honest I was unimpressed with some combination of the North Dakota game plan and their effort level. UND clearly had more talent than any of the teams that we've played in the last few weeks but there was a lot less pressure than Bemidji or St. Cloud applied. Some of that was certainly the Gophers as I thought we made decisions better and, at least as importantly, quicker then we did last week but the second period was all about Gophers ending up at the side of the net with the puck and no UND player anywhere close to them.

The first two Gopher goals were things of beauty: Kelly Terry undressed everyone in green on the first one and Rachel Bona made a gorgeous pass against her momentum as she went behind the net out to Wolfe who had about an acre and a half of net to shoot at.

Re: Minnesota Golden Gopher Women's Hockey 2013-14 Season

I thought it was a great crowd. I agree that the number of people in the building seemed to be more like the crowds that in the past have been announced as sell outs. It just didn't feel like 1,400 below capacity.

And it was a good hockey crowd. Most people were thoroughly into the game, much less of the usual milling around that is too often part of the Ridder experience. The crowd's attentiveness is especially impressive considering that there was no band. I know the band had a good excuse, but . . .

Imagine that many people that excited about the game and then add the Gopher pep band.

See you all tomorrow.

It appeared the Gophers were highly motivated to make a statement and indeed they did. Might be different tomorrow but this streak has simply been amazing to witness.
