Re: Minnesota Golden Gopher Women's Hockey 2012-2013

My favorite Terry moment of the several highly memorable moments that she had was the Maverick breakaway that was not to be. Often the best you can expect in a 1 on zero is that a defender will be able to make it back to within range of the breakaway skater allowing for a holding or hooking penalty not giving away the goal and not giving away the penalty shot. Instead, Kelly just turned on the jets, rather easily caught up to the Mankato skater and just reached over, clearly, totally and obviously without any penalty and knocked the puck off the Maverick stick to the sideboards. It was just as big a play as any of her FOUR assists.

Exactly the moment I was thinking of. She played a solid end to end game.

Brandt gets her fourth WCHA Rookie of the Week award, and Megan Bozek gets a Co-Defensive Player of the Week nod.

BTW -- Bozek is now tied for third on the all-time list of scoring by a Gopher defenseman at 112 points. She shares the spot with Courtney Kennedy and is only 2 points behind Anne Schleper. Winny Brodt tops the list at 134 points.

Rules is rules. A certain All-American once attended a tailgate...which is a no no, and she had to sit.

I believe brooky was feeling some frustration because the Daily article left everyone hanging, as to whether or not Miss McMillen would be making the trip or staying back home. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Rules is rules.
Not arguing that, but Mike's complaint is with the cliffhanger ending. Fill in the blank, "He said Tuesday that she would ______":

a) return to action in New Hampshire;
b) be staying behind while the team traveled to New Hampshire so that she could continue to reflect on the errors of her ways;
c) be likely to be found hanging around the snack bar with Hux.

HAH! :p

Actually, I will likely be found hanging around the snack bar with Hux, but that's beside the point.

The sentence has now been completed on the site:
That's almost what I wanted to hear. No clue what her infraction was...just would like to see her suited up soon as possible.

I think the Wildcat fans should have the chance to watch the full Gopher complement. :)

For those that can't make it out east to UNH this coming weekend to see your Gophers play there will be a live video feed for the games at a cost of only $9.95 through http://unhwildcats.tv/

I wonder if there isn't a reason the staff simply states "for breaking team rules" in purposely vague fashion? Could it be they actually possess some tact as a matter of character?
