. . . Kelly Terry's shot appears to remain missing in action.

With a goal in three consecutive games it appears that this particular item has been located and returned to its proper owner. If Terry stays hot, this team becomes really frightening.

They were kind of scary even when she wasn't. Kortum is scoring, the D are scoring, and now Bona is starting to score. Even that Brandt line chips in a goal every now and again.

Can't help but be pleased with the start and the play so far. Particularly with some justified uncertainty how the team would respond to the significant losses. Tough match ups / battles ahead no question. Starting next weekend.

Great weekend at Ridder though. Great to see Bona break the ice. Great to see Kortum keep it going. Among many other positives. Such as the impressive milestones for #19 and #41.

Kessel's 12 goals and Brandt's 11 are more than have been scored by UMD (9), Bemidji State (6), and St. Cloud State (6). The Gophers have 55 goals, more than twice the second-leading WCHA team (Ohio State with 24).

Well, I suppose MN's opponents will just have to be satisfied with competing for a chance to play them in the finals. In other words, second place will have to be everyone else's championship. ;)

Unfortunately, they always reset the scoreboard to 0-0 at the start of a game, so how much teams have scored before matters little. :(

Though the initial question wasn't necessarily posted here (I was asked in person, "How many teams have/had Kessel and Brandt outscored?"), I thought this was as good a place as any to answer it. It's a Gopher thread, so it's a perfect spot for ridiculous Gopher statistics.

Too true.

Re: Minnesota Golden Gopher Women's Hockey 2012-2013

I prefer to think that a sweep is possible. Looking at the schedule a couple of weeks ago it seemed like a split would be a good result. A split WOULD be a good result. I am hoping they can do better than that.

I was just doing some cross checking of the NoDak game notes, the Midco Sports Network and the Comcast website, it appears that the Sunday game will be on live on FCS Central, ch. 263 where I live (north suburbs). Today's game will be tape delay on Midco, I could find no reference to it on the Comcast site.
