I enjoyed breakfast at the hotel yesterday morning. Talked to a few Huntsville fans, including some of their band memebers. Talked to a few Miami fans (who helped remind me that they're not all bad). It was great talking hockey and different road trips/arenas with other fans.
Great games. Disappointing officiating (but that's part of the game). I enjoyed my trip to Fort Wayne and was proud of the way Michigan played. Overtime playoff hockey is thrilling. I like it more when it's not my team. I felt like I was going to hurl.
Also, I realize that Miami and Michigan fans were both fortunate to have a regional that was easy to drive to, but that 8 pm Sunday game is brutal (and made worse by overtime). I wish the tickets had cost less and the game had started earlier, I wonder how many more fans we could have gotten.
Most of you should probably stop reading my post now. But I like venting so I'm going to continue typing.
I hate when I agree with UMICHhockeyRULZ.

I was more shocked than anything by that. Yes the thing we do on the penalty kill is stupid and annoying but that's the point. And yes, Michigan stole many of our cheers from Cornell...but at least they are in a different conference. Hearing the Miami fans do a bunch of "our" (stolen) cheers is annoying, and my friends and I wonder if they picked it up from our trips down there.
The only original things I will grant your fanbase are not jumping to "Jump Around" and cheering against your power play ("see you in 2 minutes").
Come on, that was funny.

I find it hilarious that your school changed the mascot and yet your fans continue to do a far more offensive "war chant" or whatever you call it when you go on the poweplay. If you disagree, feel free direct your outrage at me.
