Other than for how much it sucks to lose to a hated rival, it's hard to argue with you.

Don't tell anyone, but I still have my "This Sioux's for you" button from the 1983 Frozen Four in Grand Forks. (That was one h-e-double-hockey-sticks of a party.)

Hmmmmmmm..............

Only the 7th meeting, ever, between Ferris State and North Dakota coming up tomorrow. And, not since 2003, also in the NCAA tournament, which was the only win, ever, by Ferris State in their 6 previous meetings.

That's as good as I have. This team came out flat to start almost every weekend, this is disappointing but hardly a surprise.

I was somewhat surprised Rumpel got scored on without it being on a rebound. Ohio State had a lot of respect for how hard it is to score on him without a lucky bounce.

Gothberg is the reason UND is moving on. Ferris State's offensive attack was relentless yet Zane weathered the storm. Congrats on a good season for the Bulldogs. Motte is a hell of goalie. Didn't have much of a chance on either of UND's goals. Yet it was obvious that it was those kind of goals that would beat him.

I was behind Motte when the winning goal went in. As I don't have a horse in this race I couldn't help but feel for him still on his knees motionless with his head sunk in defeat.

If not Motte, then it's Gothberg who stood on his head for most of the game.

They both played a heck of a game. The teams were definitely taking a more cautious approach during the first overtime. When the 2nd one started it was all jumping with energy again as each team seemed to be trying for the quick goal to end it while they had some of their energy back.
That game could certainly have gone either way. Congratulations Sioux, give my love to the Gophers if they make it!

HOLY C-R-A-P! That was a battle. FSU out shot the Greenies 44-26 and 26-8 in the 3rd and extra frames. Incredible to see how they kept the girls on their heals most of the night--unlike Bucky the night before. If it wasn't for Goldbrick the Sioux would be playing golf next week. Ferris is a classy "little" program.
