The rankings are supposed to be based ona team's stats, winning one out of region game shouldn't be the basis for beig ranked or unranked. Unless you think Salem should absolutely be ranked inthr ncaa's regardless of what they do the rest of the season.

Adrian was *undefeated* last year and still unranked. Webb's not at a computer now but about the committe he says 'you're just realizing that now?'

Heard the same stuff from him in Duluth. If they got ranked, they were probably in. Also, if any NCHA team plays Adrian as opposed to, say, Northland, they pick up a whopper OWP even if they lose.

But that is water over the frozen pond.

BTW, watching Pond Hockey on the NHL Channel. Looking for Webb

Let's not worry about the NCAA process. As I said before, "it is what it is." For us fans to understand the relative strengths of teams, and for my computer rankings this game is going to be really helpful.

......and didn't you also once make the point that the U18's didn't have their best players in the lineup after an Adrian victory ?

Nope...But I saw Neumann probably more than anyone else in the country on this board that isn't a Neumann fan last year and I can tell you how much that team improved from the beginning of the season to a very lackluster showing at the Times Argus and then putting everything together down the stretch and having Mckinnon get hot between the pipes.

It used to be the case that the USA 18 team would have a 30 player roster or there abouts and rotate different players in night in and night out. Sometimes the D-III teams would get a "weaker" U18 team on some nights as opposed to D-I teams that played the USA team.

Lately they've gone to a much smaller roster 23ish? I believe so pretty much everyone is getting the same team night in and night out.
