Let's see how this year goes. Will it be another Michigan Hockey Summer? Will Blue-chip Goalie prospects commit to us but then go to the AHL? As far as we all know Coach Berenson will Coach forever. I bumped into Gordie one day like 6 years ago and he couldn't give me any sort of answer as far as when Coach Berenson would retire. Coach Berenson is still in terrific shape, still has the best back-hand on the team, and (at least when I was in school at Michigan) all of the players referred to him as "God" because he knows so much. But how much longer can he go?

Oh well, let's not concern ourselves with something we can't control, let's discuss Michigan Hockey! Who is coming in next year? Will Merril leave? Who is going to be our Goalie next year?

Western bias! Both BU and RPI had many more posts that MTU this year, both reaching Part VI. :)

It was actually warm enough this winter so that Techies could go outside between the months of November and February.

Maybe but why would they want to? Dudes inside, dudes outside. What's the difference? Tech is a sausage fest.

Do you guys think that next season is where the Campbell and Gibson (who is killing it in the OHL BTW) defections will really hurt?

I think we have seen the worst from those defections. The goalie we have coming in (Rutledge) looks like the kind that usually comes in and starts as a freshman. I also like the size of skaters we have coming in. All are 6 foot or taller except one Dman. Rutledge is listed at 5'11", but compared to Hunwick he will look like a giant in the crease. I hope he plays as big as Hunwick did.

With PSU playing as an independent next season, how many games do you think UM will schedule with them? A home and away series, just 2 games, none?
