Michigan Wolverines: 2012-2013 Season thread!!!!!!!

I was also disappointed that we didn't get to play you guys but I was rooting for Michigan in the Championship game. I thought with how on fire you were against Miami you could take ND if you could sustain that energy.
Only thing that bothered me duing the weekend besides OSU's loss was witnessing some occasional verbal insults by Michigan fans towards ours. One of our fans daughter who was wearing an OSU shirt seemed particualy targeted and got fairly upset about it. However it was only being done by what appeared to be students who had too much to drink. They'll grow up someday. I've seen our students do the same sometimes but I've jumped on them when I've seen it.
I think Michigan should be proud of your team for the surge you had to get to the Joe and I look forward to our future games against each other.

For some reason, that link takes me to some frat house news, and I can't seem to navigate the Daily page from there... I'll try going through the home page.

But Spath wrote an article for the Wolverene inviewing some of the players who basicaly said that the issue was division on the team during a large part of the season.

Not being interested in who and how, I hope the team coming back can figure a way to build team unity before the season, including (and stressing it to) the incoming class. And make it good enough that it becomes a positive tradition for the team going ahead. They clearly understand what happens when you don't have unity- lets make this a positive and build the team.

And don't forget the last two times we had issues- after which Porter took the team to the frozen four and we made it to the championship game in 2011. Next year can be great. Will it be?

I have names, just won't say. I guarantee some will not be back, either graduating or otherwise.

Good, because it's not helpful. We need to move forward and be helpful. (much like how I got onto MGoBlueHockey's case about assigning blame to Detroit)

Build a system to build team unity prior to the season, and make it a tradition. that's what I want.

Well, we'll have plenty of chances next season to play each other. We're disappointed, but the better team won. ND had our number this season- we just didn't get anything going against them. It seemed like every mistake we made ended up in our net. It hurts that they will forever be 3-0 against us in a conference championship game and that they are 1-0 in the FF against us. Plenty of reason to dislike them.


I think it goes w/o saying that our fanbases will always have some conflicts. It happens on both sides, especially when alcohol is involved. Hopefully the future will present better experiences.

Well things have quieted down on here....


I suppose that you're all busy screaming at the bandwagon basketball fans telling them their not real wolverines because they haven't been to every Michigan game since the 1990's... after all you can't truely be a fan of a team if you havent belonged to a forum for 10+ years...
