Its hard to be a true goon in college, since they can't fight. I know John Scott found a way, but he's a special guy. That and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have set foot on WCHA ice again if he every dropped the gloves again.

Did he have any other fights other then Ryan Hale?

I, of course, use the term "fight" loosely in this instance...

I don't remember him getting in others that were too bad. He was in scuffles and such. I just remember hearing after the Hale fight that it was so bad that he was on a zero tolerance policy when it came to fighting.

I haven't seen a good scuffle in quite a while either. For how much we have lost the past couple years, the guys don't seem like they have any passion out there.

When I played on a broomball team that sucked a couple years ago, I would get so sick of getting annihilated that I would just try and start crap. Leveling somebody just makes you feel better about yourself at that point.

If you're going to take dumb penalties, at least make them worthwile. :D

If we're going to lose, I'd rather lose with some class than be known as the Anaheim Ducks of college hockey, and end up getting half the team suspended by the NCAA. Though if Dorito did get in enough fights to be suspended for the remainder of the year, that would probably be of more assistance to the team's defensive effort than he's provided in a majority of our games this year.

Just sayin' :cool:

Are you kidding me? Toronto still has a waiting list for season tickets despite sucking hardcore year after year. They average 102% attendance (19,232) which is second by percentage and sixth by average attendance per game. Tech is basically the Carolina of the NCAA.

Carolina has tasted success far too recently to draw a comparison, even if they do suck this year. Besides, at least we're in a real hockey market, even if people are smart enough to stay away.

Speaking of which, UAA on saturday was the worst turn out in at least a year... BY FAR. It was seriously like 15 students in section L and a bunch of old people sitting behind us that moved into those spots. The whole rink was pretty empty but the student section especially.

You say this like it's a bad thing, or like it's unreasonable, especially given the disproportionately large number of Michigan Tech posters.
