You're delusional if you think this program is heading in the right direction. You only have to go back a few coaches (Mancini, Brown) to realize there are coaches out there who can recruit and have moderate success at MTU.

Brown? He was here for two seasons, his recruiting never came into play. Mancini had a couple good seasons, but look at what the team he left Watters with did.

Yes, Russell hasn't had the best record, but he had two bright seasons in the past four years. Last season was a wash, any team would be devastated by injuries like that. This season, injuries have played a role, and there are some aspects about the team that worry me, but I've seen enough bright spots to know that Russell isn't the problem.

And honestly, I still haven't seen you give any reasons for Russell to be fired other than his record. This tells me two things: 1) You're an idiot. 2) You don't watch any of the games, so you have no idea how the team actually plays. I can appreciate armchair coaching/AD'ing in some cases, but you obviously have no idea what you're talking about.

Not that I agree with jsr, I don't, but at least he talks about hockey instead of who threw up on who's floor last night, which gets pretty old if you are not horton.

I haven't heard him actually talk about a hockey game in a long time. All I hear now is "Russell can't recruit! Face it, he's gonna get fired! His W-L record just doesn't cut it! 19...18...! Who should they hire to replace him!? 17...!"

If he truly cared, he'd call up major donors (the REAL movers and shakers within the program), gauge their opinion of the team's direction, and try to convince them that Russell is the problem. But he can't be bothered to do anything except come on here and whine, which is why I gave up arguing with him.
