From story:
Tech is taking advantage of an NCAA rule that allows teams to take one foreign trip every four years. The team is only allowed to take current players who are academically eligible by the NCAA. No incoming freshman are allowed to go as well as any player who signs a professional contract.

Should be good conditioning since only current 1st, 2nd, & 3rd year players can go. I count just over 20 players that could make the trip. It wasn't clear if non-professional graduates (such as this year's seniors who don't turn pro in the spring) could play even though they've used up their NCAA eligibility.

Let's hope the recruiting doesn't work in the opposite way. "Hey kid, you played pretty good out there tonight. How would you like to stay over here and turn pro and make some serious Euro..."

As much as I would love to go to Europe, especially if hockey's included, I can't afford to take that much time off work :( haha

I don't even follow pro football that much, but I know enough that disliking the Packers and their fans is remarkably easy.

I was thinking more along the lines of hating the Canucks fans who claim Luongo is the greatest goalie ever, when Vancouver has made the playoffs twice in the four years he's played there, and flamed out in the second round both times.

But I can understand your analogy too. Both teams have a lot of bandwagon fans who only watch when the playoffs are on or when they're playing a hated rival.
